We are so lucky to live right around the corner from one of Sarasota’s best wedding venues, The Powel Crosley Estate. Powel Crosley built the Florida winter home for his wife, Gwendolyn, in 1929. The two-and-a-half-story Mediterranean mansion was built in the southwest corner of Bradenton on a 60-acre parcel of land on Sarasota Bay adjacent to the John Ringling Estate.
The Powel Crosley Estate is our most photographed venue and we thought it deserved its very own blog post with some images we have never shared!
Gwendolyn’s room is an additional rental fee, but its absolutely gorgeous for some portraits of the bride!
We have done several different locations for ‘First Look’s’ with our couples. Our favorite is the beautiful brown door seen below – but the balcony is equally as gorgeous (see below, from Michael and Stacy’s wedding)
Beautiful bridesmaids having fun in more pretty photo locations at The Powel Crosley
There are 3 ceremony spaces at The Powel Crosley. The back of the mansion (always makes for an epic wide photo), the pavilion, and the lawn!
I love how different every wedding we have photographed at The Powel Crosley Estate is. From tables indoors to different set ups on the lawn. Its all gorgeous!
The dreamiest photo locations of the bride and groom is our favorite part about this venue. We always steal the bride and groom away at sunset to capture some magic with beautiful lighting!
This is our favorite place for family formal portraits on a wedding day.
